The Nottingham @arimatheatrust is a charity providing supported housing in our city for Refugees and Destitute Asylum Seekers, including victims of modern slavery and human trafficking. Started in 2007 and now managing over 20 properties, @arimatheatrust is a lifeline for many, and a key part of the network of loving and caring grassroots community organisations that make Notts shine.

Back in April this year, we gave some serious NGP attention to the back yard of an @arimatheatrust property right in the middle of our Radford patch. We’ll built, shifted, planted and painted all day to turn this space into a beautiful and productive green oasis that we’ call ‘Love Yard’.

The space transformed from a moss covered alleyway that residents pass through and hang out washing to an art filled , colourful safe haven growing food and flowers, and shouting loudly that the current residents and all those that pass through here in the future are welcomed and loved.
